scared about challenges? Let’s talk about it.

What To Do With Our Existential Dread As The Challenges Keep Spreading Out

My brain tries to make reason with the inferno of information that comes my way from every corner, non-stop.

It’s an automatic process, not something I notice consciously, but it makes my patterns of the consciousness do their job, save me energy, make processes smooth and quick, simply:

Have everything under control to fulfill their purpose of instinct and survival, with ONE MISSION: Keeping me safe.

Except when they don’t.

When we try to survive, we try to avoid difficulties.

The mere facts from human history are, we needed to avoid difficulties. The difficulties of the weather, of gathering and hunting food, of neighbours trying to steal our food etc etc etc

In the early stage of human development, the rule of the jungle was dominant and there was much danger in the environment. Because survival was the primary focus of life, it was necessary to always look for potential threats in the environment. They could damage our life, and could be harmful for us. That's why our patterns needed to anticipate those negative factors before they could happen. From this, the pattern of Negativity gradually formed.

Do you notice your vigilant mind scanning threats all around you too, Reader?

CHALLENGES ARE EVERYWHERE!!

Today I wanted to share a little bit about the pattern of Negativity, to give you some bits of pattern info for managing our existential dread about challenges. Bet you have already an overwhelming amount of advice about difficulties to change, so let this be inspo on your journey of life cultivation.

If you haven’t known this already, unhealthy patterns of the consciousness are made out of information, they are:

>> Fixed, stubborn and physically rooted in the structures of the neurons in your brain cells

>> Habitual, Systematic and conditioned

>> Inevitable and Helping

>> Incomplete, partial and narrow, so what we see can be greatly flawed and twisted

>> External-seeking, finding causes for our problems externally, making it difficult to turn inwards

They become problematic, when their automatic processing, views certain information as negative without us having an awareness about this. Once it has been processed this way and your patterns say:

THIS IS DIFFICULT.
=
IT IS NEGATIVE.

We create all sorts of actions and reactions to reaffirm the nature of this information. We see things in this way. Many other patterns kick in to 'help' in this incomplete-twisted-flawed process of reaffirmation and gather 'evidence' to confirm their suspicions.

Since the early times of the human species, we have faced challenges, and those challenges have been perceived as something difficult and negative.

Why is that?
Because it disturbs us.

Once something disturbs us, the pattern of Negativity can make its appearance. If our body is very comfortable and nice, we don’t perceive that as negative. Not really. But if we start to feel discomfort and pain, we don’t want that.

It is perceived as negative for us. Then we need to avoid that. We need to do something about that.

One characteristic of this pattern is its ability to focus on just one aspect of reality, and normally that is what we don’t want.

We focus on that. We zoom right into it. The pattern of Negativity MAGNIFIES WHAT WE DON’T WANT.

Then we feel emotions that are not comfortable or pleasant, they will lead us to seeing things even more negative. It’s a repeated reinforcement process, gathering constantly selective 'evidence' and contributing to the overall perspective that this is indeed all NEGATIVE.

This pattern is very smart and clever, because it’ll help us to find reasons to justify what we think and feel, and that it is 'right' to think and feel this way. Isn’t there a lot of proof?

Another characteristic is:
It negates what is real.

No matter how much you try to see reality, the Pattern of Negativity CANNOT see it. It makes you see only one side, and gets you stuck in this process of polarity.

Now you might think, ok, Mirjam, I can’t see the issue here, I just replace that pattern with being positive. The positive will make the negative retreat, right?

It’s not always as clear cut as we’d like.

Polarity is that it is part of the aspect of absolute, of extremes, and this falls into another pattern's realm of the Pattern of Polarization.

You might have heard about the law of Yin and Yang, or the law of Unification and Opposition.

Yin does not exist without Yang, and Yin will transform into Yang, and Yang will transform into Yin. Inside of Yin is Yang, and inside of Yang is Yin. None exists without the other. Nothing is absolute, all is relative. They are equal and they belong together. Yin and Yang are one.

I’m telling you about this law, because if you start to focus just on 'the positive', and you go to the extreme positive, by the law of Yin and Yang, when you have reached the extreme, it will turn into a false positive. Hardly does anyone realize, this false positiveness will be causing negativity.

And here goes the good intention…

I think you like to truly replace something with something healthier, and not with something of the same nature, right? This is where the pattern of Hiding and Avoiding can make its appearance, and what it does, it tries to hide the main driver, meaning, we do this, because

We don’t want negativity.

So, negativity is still there. It is only hidden and avoided.

You can be in the ocean of the most amazing love, the pattern of Negativity will make you not see it. It might tell you: It’s wet here, this is not love.

If we negate love, if we are unable to see the love around us, we cannot receive it. No matter how good that love is. If we see the manifestation of the love and the support of the universe as something negative, we are even treating it with the opposite.

This pattern negates opportunities. Mostly opportunities to grow.

We negate them because we see them as negative, as difficult, as a challenge. We see something else. We can see all sorts of things, but we can’t see it.

We actually negate what we are searching for.

If a person doesn’t have problems or challenges, change is highly unlikely.

As a life cultivator this is something to be aware of. Because we want to change. We want to grow, and steer our life in a healthier direction.

I hope this was useful inspo today.

XOM
