Disturbances and vexations (and what to do about it)

What You Believe Something Is, Hey! I want to bring back where I left off. Are we willing to do the work that will get us to our pure true heart? To be clear, I am in the same boat with everyone out there. I face the same ordeals that are "laid in front of us for our consideration" by the "agents" of Dao. The "agents" of the universe who try to fuel the fire of transformation, to push, pull, and prod where every person uniquely needs it most to keep moving forward with infinite wisdom and unconditional love. I have a lot of resistance to certain "agents". Just to be clear, this is quite normal, and you have it probably too. All of this is normal. We have not grown up with information like this. Therefore, we view certain "agents" of the universe very often with annoyance, disturbance, and vexation. This is not what a colleague or partner or friend would say or do. Nobody should go through something like this. This is just wrong; it’s not right and not fair. Why did you do this to me? Why? I wouldn’t have to feel so bad if you’d acted differently. I can’t trust you anymore. All of this is normal in 2026. It has been for many centuries. But another part inside of you is also screaming, burning loud, "None of this is normal, and we need to seriously course correct!" One of the hardest things about the work on our heart is the lack of wisdom-based knowledge. The course correction is massively hard if you have to turn the common-sense knowledge you grew up with and that has been carved like stone into your DNA for many lifetimes around to trusting in wisdom-based knowledge. Aren’t we sometimes so super vexed? Who are these interlopers shaking things up? How dare they?! (Did you miss my last newsletter? Then read it here). The bar is very low for seeing everyone and everything serving as a teacher with the purpose to push, pull, and prod us out of our usual comfort zone and beliefs zones. Everything that happens and everything that exists is a window to see Dao. Dao is the law that leads the change of all things. It is a manifestation of the infinite Love and Wisdom of the Universe. –Yuan Tze. No one is creating your sense of suffering. It is quite the opposite. The "interloper" is actually showing you the self-imposed locks you have put on your heart. The conditions we create to trust, to be open, to love, to be grateful, and to have Gongjing (true respect and humility). These are the locks that make the heart suffer. Your heart is calling you! Unlock me from all the locks you have put on me! Because the true pure heart exists in a state that is unconditional. The state of unconditionality is a state free of any conditions. >> Not conditions of physical matter Simply no conditions. It also means that it cannot be blocked, stopped, or destroyed or influenced by any condition. It cannot be bound by any condition. It cannot have a beginning nor an end; it cannot have opposition nor unification. And because the unconditional heart has no conditions, it can penetrate and exist in all conditions. It becomes present in everything. Although this wisdom-based knowledge is abstract for the brain to understand or to comprehend, the true nature in the background understands it. A life cultivator understands in the not understanding. And so the work of the life cultivator encompasses recognizing that every challenge is designed for their growth, allowing them to turn obstacles into tools for self-transformation. They must be willing to apply the gained wisdom-based knowledge to come closer to understanding the nature of their obstacles and their resistances. Nothing we meet, nothing that happens, has any randomness. Even though we might not understand. We need helpers who support us in seeing what needs to be seen. We are all on the same boat; we all share the same destiny. That’s why problems, disturbances, or vexations are fundamentally something to pay attention to. They are actually great "agents" if you have the wisdom-based knowledge supporting you. A life cultivator understands that he has to learn about the laws of life seriously. It is a serious task because, without good understanding, he can easily miss that: Every "agent" possesses a heart consciousness— Because the value of an "agent" lies not in its appearance or its form but in the internal transformation and elevation it brings about.
